Version 1.0 � You must have bought your PSP in a foreign area, this version allows you to use any homebrew application, but it is highly recommended for you to update to version 1.5 (NOTE: Version 1.5 is the most universal firmware version and runs almost all homebrew, do not update by using the built-in PSP updater or any other way because the newer firmware version have restrictions against homebrew because Sony is not getting paid for the unsigned codes) Your firmware version will know appear (as Sony calls is, System Software) Do this by going onto your PSP, got to system settings under the settings tab and then click on system information.
